IDIO Design Studio is a brand development boutique. IDIO provides a wide variety of advertising and design services, experience in many industries and a hyper focus in retail and community branding.
Founder Al Terwelp, is a veteran in the advertising industry. He brings 27 years of graphic design and creative direction/execution experience to service for IDIO’s clients. This experience spans dozens of industries in many of the leading organizations and corporations in the region and includes a number of national and international companies.

Here’s how it is done:
First there is the understanding of human action / motivation and peoples desire for experience and social interaction. This basic, but often overlooked, starting point helps market your product and determine the way IDIO needs to physically, emotionally and intellectually influence your customers.
The most important skill IDIO uses in developing understanding of the relationship between clients and their customers is listening. IDIO quickly works to appreciate likes, dislikes and points of view, the local culture, competition and how together with clients we can influence customer behavior. By fully engaging in the places it brands IDIO Design consequently immerses itself into the customer’s mindset. Successful strategy starts by being end-user-focused but it should be additionally realized that in a world of socioeconomic diversity, globalization, inclusiveness, and on-demand access, brand communication must also be expressed through affinities and values, rather than broader appeals to demographic or geographic segments. This makes IDIO more than just an advertiser, marketer or practitioner of graphic design.
Brand is a indescribable sum of parts that creates a unique experience. This includes everything from designing a client’s logo, communication, to online / off-line environment. IDIO is informed, employing attention to detail, understanding the importance of the nuance of treatment/themes and the elegance and importance of material. While interpretation the brand to all applications is critical, it is much more. IDIO develops brands that become the product. It is the creation of experiences that people remember. Experiences where culture, perception, and commerce intersect, and become physical reality - all crafted with functional, insightful, inspiring and thoughtful design.
In retail IDIO online/physical branding works to create worlds where people want to be and once inspired helps justify the customer’s journey. For community building, IDIO branding is about connecting people, places, goods and services in a participatory way with people’s shared beliefs, such as individual empowerment and social awareness. IDIO branded “urbanity” incorporates the human networks that drive urban economies ... enabling “made” environments not just “built” ones that display and export their local cultural lifestyles and traditions through branded symbols, events and experiences.
